At Haydock we understand that good quality, nutritious food is an important component for health and well being in all our resident’s lives.
We offer a seasonal, 3 weekly menus in which there is no repetition of meals, unless it is requested, there is always at least one alternative meal option, but if there is something you fancy for lunch, just let the kitchen know, and the utmost will be done to arrange it for you.
Special dietary requirements are more and more common these days, and of course we cater for all dietary needs, religious and medical requirements.
We also offer soft and pureed options for people who may have difficulty chewing and swallowing their food. The result is a healthy, nourishing and visually appealing range that provides a dignified dining experience.
Most residents agree that the quality and variety of food is an important element of service provision and therefore this is one of our highest priorities. Our cooks ensure that our food products are purchased only from top quality suppliers and daily deliveries enable us to serve fresh, homemade meals every day. Our food surveys help us to buy products, which are preferable to our residents.
We use our local butchers and fishmonger and we really do pride ourselves with using good quality ingredients.
At Haydock we also realise that having a treat now and again can make us feel much better. With this in mind you will see either Carol or Gemma our enthusiastic wellbeing co-ordinators on their rounds with the ‘treat trolley’ with lots of goodies like crisp and chocolate and maybe the odd tipple on offer.
